| Fantasm. Once again, another 1-day con. Leaving for the con, we planned to bring chris2 along and later him and joey could hang. Didn't happen. Fortune, yes, but he was the only one who knew how to get to the damn place. He refused to go and insisted we leave him at the apartment so he could wait for a ride. We did and he gave us directions via Cell phone. This went all wrong. It turns out he knew the name of the road and the exit but no idea beyond that. Then it turned out his girlfriend LIVED at this hotel years ago and knew EXACTLY where it was the entire time but for some reason that wasnt apparent to him until we had already found the exit. Let me get this over with and say this was by far the Worst location and Crummiest hotel I've ever stayed at, sans "vacation from hell" when i was 12 years old. So we finally arrive and call and everyone to meet up. Soni was already blitzed and she gave us a tour of the place. My god, there was no sanitation or cleaning crew in sight! Pixie's room had been blowing lint from the AC which made it hot and smelly. I had heard rumors that it was a whore/crackhouse at one time even. I go on... We met Derek there and Alisa as well around when joey arrived. Some kind of bondage event was happening in the main room. I don;t think they were checking for badges or anything really. It was crowded of course, full of leather and latex, drunks and stoners. Mainly drunks. Scary drunks. Ling's idea for this con was to reinact the Revenge Of the Nerds idea of nerds Vs jocks. it went great! we all started off by getting our gear on. "AB" Alpha-Beta shirts and for girls "PKP" Pie Kappa Pie. Red vs Blue. haha. but yeah from there we all got ready and rolled a giant keg through the main hallway screaming "Whoo-HAH, AlphaBeta; WHOO-HAH ALPHABETA!" then yelling "Neeeerrrrdddss" at everyone cheering us on. This went into the dance where we all did keg stands and drank and danced. It was really fun and though i didn't know about this plan unil i arrived at the con, it got a lot of attention and everyone followed us. Joey, Nikki, Pixie, and Soni all had their sorority shirts on, it was great! At soem time Ling changed outfits to Val Kilmer's gear in Real Genius. He even had the springy antannae! The dance dwindled down so we all went party hopping. There wasn't much as far as official parties, but there were more than enough open-door partying going on. The one we went to was two rooms connected with cool coloured lighting and loud music playing. They were serving plenty of alcohol here and I jostiled myself and joey up with a mudslide and white russian. The other private party in Ling/Soni's room was cool too. We didn't advertise it so everyone knew everyone there. |
